Exploring Psychic Powers: The Road to Enlightment!

In a previous Article I did on Edgar Cayce, Cayce mentions
that anyone would be able to do what he did if we only applied ourself
to the way he did it.

Jesus the Messiah said:
Matthew 17:19-20 "For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."

Luke 17:5-6 "The Lord replied. 'If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.'

Surely these statements have puzzled scholars for ages. But what can it mean ? Few think it was a metaphor for strength of mind. But many don't think so! Basically because Jesus also said that "We will do all these things and more!"

What things ?
Ok let's analyze some of Jesus' miracles and see if we can see a pattern and the answer.

1. Walked on Water
2. Was seen in multiple places as once
3. Healed the Sick
4. Foretold the Future
More..

These are amazing in themselves but we are interested in finding the pattern and the answer to the mustard seed parable, not marveling at what seems like magic.

But is this Magic ? I don't think so. Not even the great feat of parting the sea as Moses did. Remember the part in the Bible that said that the Pharoah's magicians tried to mimic the snake feat done by moses by employing magic ? Well Moses snake ate the other snakes and stunned even the magicians. Is this stronger magic ? Again I say, I don't think so.

Let analyze a famous quote from a great scientist: "Any sufficiently advanced Technology is indistinguishable from magic." - Arthur C. Clarke, Inventor of the Communication Satellite & Author of the Movie 2001 A Space Odyssey.

Are we starting to see an answer here ? Are we having a Gnosis, Knowledge! Exactly. Ok let's say we could go back in time, say to Nostradamus time, and let's say that we could take batches of medicines that would cure the plague. We gave those to Nostradamus and explained to him how they worked, but that he could only give them to certain people. Those that had a geneology that was favorable to the future. Bam that would make me a great Magician if I can do that. I have Gnosis or Knowledge that is lacking in Nostradamus' time. (By the way, what I just did in that example was unethical by choosing who lived and who died. The right course would've been just to observed them and not interfere with the development of their culture. Non-Interference is cold but this directive works.)

Alright, back to our Analysis, Let's get some more of that Gnosis!

When we analyze the Ancient Indian texts we discover the word Siddhis.
These talk about an important concept.

PSYCHIC POWERS!

Ok then let's look again at those miracles and label them with a Psychic power:

1. Walked on Water - Levitation
There are accounts of People who can Levitate all through history as well as the Church.

2. Was seen in multiple places at once - Bi-location
There are accounts of Buddhist Monks and Indian Gurus being at several places at once. The Catholic Church has had witness accounts of priests who were seen in multiple places at once. Just like Jesus first being on the Peter's ship and then winding up on shore before the ship came in. Yet they'd swear he was still in the ship.

3. Healed the Sick - Psychic Healing
There are records that span centuries of accounts of Psychic healers right back to the Apostles of doing incredible miracles of healing with diseases just dissappearing into thin air and which today leaves doctors scratching their heads. So are you a God if you can make a paralyzed person walk again ? Uh No. Because that same healer may not have any other Psychic power other than healing.

4. Foretold the Future - Prophecy(Divination)
This psychic "gift" spans ages and can be aquired by anyone. Some are given visions, others have an Intuition(See main article below). There were great seers throughout history, No one can compare to Jesus Christ of course, but out of us lower mortals The Biblical Prophets, The Apostles, and from modern times there was Edgar Cayce, Mother Shipton, and Nostradamus. These individuals all stand out as having an edge on the rest of us so-to-speak but only our Gnosis was lacking. Our Faith in it!

The point of all this is that the pattern and the answer is that "We" all have the "potential" to develop Psychic Powers and once we have that Gnosis(Knowledge) then we can go on to develop our full potential as a human being.

We do ? How ?

By waking up to the truth and going within yourself to find your real spiritual self! Don't concentrate on what others are doing, find out the inner person that you are. The wisper from within! The one that says, don't do wrong, or you can do it, or the one that tells you to get up and try again. Find that voice within and then turn up the volume.

Now Let's Explore some of these Psychic Powers
Insight and Intuition!

with into. Power of acute observation and deduction; penetration; discernment; perception.

INTUITION

Intuition is an unconscious form of knowledge. It is immediate and sometimes not open to rational/analytical thought processes but it can be. Intuition differs from instinct, which does not have the experience element.

Intuition is by definition not the same as an opinion based on experience but may have unconsciously been formed by previous experiences. A person who has an intuitive opinion can not immediately fully explain why he or she holds that view. Intuition is not limited to opinions but can encompass the ability to know immediately valid problem solutions.

Intuition has advantages in solving complex problems and finding new results.
Intuition is one source of common sense. It can also help in induction to gain empirical knowledge.

Sources of intuition are feeling, experiences and knowledge.
An important intuitive method is brainstorming.

Some may say that Insight and Intuition are mere instincts. But how many people today listen to these "instincts" within them ? I say they are Psychic Powers and they need to be developed or tunning in to them.

Some may even compile whole books or even a good web post with Insight and Intuition. You can tell them right away too because a good book or a good web post speaks to your inner self and you find truth because it resonates within. Thus you get what I call the Gnosis of it and you learn. :)

If more people had developed their Insight and Intuition in Indonesia, I believe many would've escaped the coast before the Asian Tsunami hit. Just like the Animals did.

So does that mean that animals have psychic powers ? Many would say they do. At the very least, better developed instincts than we do.

Many more would've left before Katrina hit New Orleans. I'm sure many people thought that they'll just have faith in God and he'll deliver me from Katrina. Yes that is true, faith in God is good, but without action, faith is only half awake. Everything in the Universe is in motion.

If more people developed their Insight and Intuition there would be less accidents on the road. Less kidnappings, Less murders and robberies even.

Think of it, a better world with just two psychic powers developed in the majority of the world population...

So the challenge I give you is this. For you to develop your full potential as a human being by learning what Psychic powers are latent inside you and getting Gnosis about how to develop them. Then Practice, practice, practice...

Because believe it or not you are who we've been waiting for!
