Considering a Generator ? Ok Let's Compare!
Generators: Power in a pinch

The blackout of August 2003 helped generators join candles, flashlights, and bottled water on many homeowners’ must-have lists. Home Depot and Lowes shipped thousands of extra generators to stores in affected areas within days after power was restored.
Power-grid glitches aren't the only reason to consider a generator. Ice storms, hurricanes, and other natural disasters can leave you without light, heat, and other necessities. A generator can also power yard tools far from an outlet and make camping more comfortable.
While you can easily spend $10,000 or more for a large stationary generator, most portable models can power a variety of devices for $1,000 or less.
